When SKU-based supplier routing fits
Use this workflow when you already know your suppliers and want each business to keep its own Shopify store. Both parties install FulfillRelay and confirm their connection. Supplier discovery and a warehouse location inside your own store are different problems.
One customer order, three different decisions
Illustrative example, not a customer performance result: a shopper buys three different items. Each order line is evaluated independently.

Approve the exact variant before routing
Match the retailer variant to the supplier’s exact product variant, including size or color. The supplier confirms the SKU, price and currency. A similar product name is not a substitute for an approved mapping.
Review any unmapped or changed items before expanding your connections. The retailer’s sale price and the supplier’s agreed settlement price are separate.
Follow the setup in the real app
This walkthrough uses example data in the real interface. Connect one supplier, approve one mapping and follow one eligible order before increasing volume.
What to check on your first order
Check the product variant, quantity and agreed supplier price against the source order. Confirm that each supplier receives only its own lines. Follow acceptance and fulfillment, then check tracking on the retailer’s original order.
Processing is asynchronous. Check the displayed state and exceptions before treating a handoff as complete. Supplier acceptance, supplier payment and retailer customer payments are separate steps.
