How tracking gets back to the retailer
Start with an approved product mapping and an eligible paid order line. The connected supplier receives the routed order in its own Shopify store, accepts it and records fulfillment. FulfillRelay synchronizes tracking back to the retailer’s original order.
A supplier payment record is not shipment evidence. The fulfillment and tracking state must also be checked.
Check a partial shipment by line and quantity
Illustrative example: an order contains a shirt from Supplier A and a mug from Supplier B. Supplier A ships first. Check the shirt’s fulfilled quantity and tracking; do not assume the mug shipped because one package has a tracking number.
| Checkpoint | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Source order | Which original line and quantity the supplier order represents |
| Supplier fulfillment | Which items actually shipped and the recorded tracking |
| Retailer order | The correct line, quantity and tracking after synchronization |
| Remaining work | Unfulfilled items, unmapped items or synchronization exceptions |
If tracking is not visible yet
Check that the supplier recorded fulfillment on the connected supplier order, that the intended quantity was fulfilled and that the tracking information exists there. Then inspect the retailer order and the app’s current workflow status. Background processing can take time.
Avoid creating a second supplier order just to try to make tracking appear. Resolve the existing order’s visible exception or ask support to investigate the existing handoff.
